Install shortcut and artwork automatically:
1. Sign in to Steam once, then exit Steam completely. On Steam Deck, use Desktop Mode.
2. Linux/Steam Deck: run bash Steam/add-to-steam.sh from the game folder. macOS: open Steam/add-to-steam.command. Windows: open Steam/add-to-steam.bat. Python 3 is required.
3. Reopen Steam. The game shortcut, icon, portrait, wide cover, background and logo are installed together.
The helper finds native and Flatpak Steam installs, preserves existing shortcut IDs and custom launch options, and backs up changed Steam files. It refuses to write while Steam runs. For a custom Steam location, pass --steam-dir /path/to/Steam.

Artwork-only download: put this Steam folder beside your installed game launcher before running the helper. To update only the artwork of an existing shortcut, run python3 Steam/add_to_steam.py art --src Steam.

Manual alternative: Add a Non-Steam Game in Steam, browse to launch.sh (Linux), swamp_rabbit_surfers.exe (Windows), or the game .app (macOS). Set the name to Swamp Rabbit Surfers and the start directory to the game folder.
Linux uses the native executable; leave compatibility/Proton disabled. Steam Deck is detected automatically.
In Steam Desktop Mode, right-click the library artwork and choose Set Custom Artwork. Use portrait.png for the library grid, hero.png for the background, wide.png for the wide cover, logo.png for the logo, and icon.png for the shortcut icon. For the banner, choose Adjust Logo Position and center the logo. artwork-source.json records the artwork provenance and checksums. metadata.json contains the title and launch metadata. Steam assigns a local shortcut ID, so artwork is included by name rather than a preassigned app ID.
